Hunter
Sub-classes:
"Hunters once prowled the wilderness and wastelands, taking big risks for even bigger rewards. You're no outlaw—at least, not anymore—but making your own luck has always meant bending the rules. Your unique brand of daring and ingenuity is needed now more than ever."
Overview
Hunters are explorers, and survivors. They are trailblazers, surviving the frontier by any means necessary, finding opportunity to places others don't even dare to look. They harness The Traveler's energies to help them adapt, fight, and survive. They are humanity's scouts - masters of the Frontier. With their daring and bravery, they help humanity find the lost wonders of their Golden Age.
Hunters are akin to rogues, scouts, or thief-classes in other games. They embody mobility, stealth, flexibility, utility, and strategical gameplay. Bungie's Senior Graphics Designer even stated that the class is a "combination of speed and strength". They have the weakest armor of the three classes and they have the slowest shield regeneration rate. However, these disadvantages are traded for mobility and stealth. Hunters can perform double jumps, which makes them more agile. They can also pick off enemies silently using knife throws or stealth kills.
Hunters can be easily distinguished by their small builds, light armors, and their signature cloaks. Cloaks are unique to their class as it is regarded a symbol of the hunters' thirst for adventure. They also have a Hunter Knife, which is unique to their class as well.
Hunter abilities will depend on the sub-class they're going to select. The same applies to the type of grenades they can carry, and modifiers. These are skills attributed to the specific sub-class.
