A Light in the Dark

1. Complete the Summoning Pits strike mission on the Moon


2. Earn 500 points by killing Hive enemies on the Moon
   * 2 Points per ordinary kill (Hive majors and ultras such Hallowed Knights give 20 points)


3. Use Void Damage to defeat Guardians in the Crucible until you rack up 500 points. You have to be careful not to die too often; otherwise your progress will be slower.
   * Kills = + 5 points each
   * Death = -2 points


4. Exchange a Mote of Light to the Speaker to get Infusion of Light


5. Talk to Ikora Rey


6. Defeat Xyor, the Unwed in the Summoning Pits strike mission on the Moon.
   * The mission should have the Epic (LV26) modifier active
   * She will appear along with the third drop ship. Players must kill enough minions for the third drop ship to appear.
   * Phogoth must be alive when the third drop ship arrives.


7. After defeating Xyor, you'll receive the Unbound Thorn. Return to the Speaker to earn the reward.
